Daily Sprint – daily logic puzzles on the clock

The Daily Sprint is striduel's daily race: nine logic tasks of one difficulty, the same for every player, and your total time is what counts. Pick a difficulty below and tap “Start sprint” – nothing begins on its own.

How it works

Every day has three sprints, one per difficulty: Easy, Medium and Hard. Each is nine tasks of that one difficulty – three puzzle types in three rounds, taking turns: Paritu (zeros and ones), Code (work out a colour code from rows of clues) and Minesweeper. Every task has exactly one solution and can be solved by reasoning alone, never by guessing. How long a sprint takes depends above all on how familiar the three puzzle types already are to you: the first time you meet a type, it is understanding the rules that costs time, not the reasoning.

Time is measured on the server, not on your device. Your answer is checked as soon as the board is completely filled in. If it is wrong, the task stays open and you get penalty seconds: 5 for the first wrong answer on a task, then 10, 20 and 40, capped at 60 per wrong answer. The sprint does not tell you which part was wrong. There are no hints in a sprint – those live in practice mode.

Skipping a task costs 45 seconds and takes the run out of the day's ranking. You are warned first; the remaining tasks stay playable, just unranked.

One run per day is ranked, across all three difficulties. The slot is used up when you finish, not when you start: once you finish Easy you have chosen for today, and the other two sprints remain playable off the record – the button says so before you start. Each difficulty has its own daily leaderboard, ordered by total time; on a tie, whoever finished earlier comes first. The day changes at midnight UTC.

Frequently asked questions

Can I play the sprint again?

Yes. “Play sprint again” runs the same nine tasks once more, unranked. A replay touches neither the leaderboard nor your streak; the first run is the one that counts. Be careful: replaying while a run is still open abandons that run – even the ranked one.

Why am I not on the leaderboard?

There are several possible reasons, and the result screen names the one that applies: you are playing without saved progress, you already finished a ranked run today, it was a replay, you skipped a task, or an answer arrived implausibly fast. On top of that, appearing on the leaderboard is a decision of its own: your name shows up only if you ticked “Show my time on the leaderboard” when saving. Without the tick you are still ranked and still see your own place.

Do I need an account?

No. You can play straight away and anonymously – just unranked. Runs count once you explicitly save your progress on this device; the offer appears on the result screen and in the settings. A random key then stays on the device. There is no account, no email address and nothing to type in, and you can delete the key at any time. If you save on the result screen, the run you just played is the one that counts; with a skipped task it still stays off the leaderboard.

How does the streak work?

The streak counts the days on which you finished a ranked run – on any difficulty. It moves forward when you finish, not when you start, and never through a replay. A run with a skipped task still counts for the streak if you play it to the end.

Does everyone really get the same tasks?

Yes. On any given day the nine tasks of a difficulty are identical for all players, in the same order. That is what makes the times comparable.
